Girl's Middle School League Season Cancelled!

Registration closed yesterday for the 2008 Girl's Middle School League.
Insufficient interest in the spring season has resulted in a decision
to cancel the program for Spring of 2008.
While we are disappointed that the season did not generate sufficient
interest, we are still committed to bringing soccer opportunites to
Harbor Country. Look forward to a Middle School Boys League team in the
fall.

Girl's Middle School League Registration Opens!
January 11, 2008
Registration opened today for the 2008 Girl's Middle School League.
Girls in 6th, 7th and 8th grade are invited to register for the Spring
season. Forms are available on this site.
Download Registration Form
Registration is $60.00 per child, with an early bird discount of $10.00
if postmarked on or before 2/1/08. Registration closes on 2/20/08.
Register early as space is limited.

Red Arrow Soccer Plans To Return!

Red Arrow Soccer Association has been inactive since the Fall of 2005 but has not been idle!
Most of you are aware that in the Fall of 2005, we lost the fields at
Chikaming Elementary School that we had worked so hard to develop. A
quality recreation area and tens of thousands of invested dollars, not
to mention volunteer time, were lost when the school property we were
playing on was sold.
Past Board President John Cassidy and current President Brad
Williamson, both serving on the Chikaming Township Park Board,
continued to work on plans to develop soccer pitches at a more
permanent location to benefit the children and parents playing soccer
in the quad-township area in and around Harbor Country.
Today, that dream is coming true! The Chikaming Township Park Board has
approved an interim plan to start the development of the open field
recreation areas at the Chikaming Township Park and Preserve. For those
of you not familiar with the park, it is the large open space along
I-94 that can be seen directly south of the Warren Woods overpass,
There is a huge amount of work to be done. Volunteers can be put to
work in a variety of areas. We need help with everything from
earthmoving and road-bullding, to leveling and seeding. We need people
to help writing grant applications and performing other fund-raising
activity. Most of all, we need volunteers to start preparing for the
return of Red Arrow Soccer in the Fall of 2008 or Spring of 2009.
